UFC 280: The highly anticipated lightweight bout between Beneil Dariush and Mateuz Gamrot has been added to the October 22 card. Interestingly, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding a match between Benel Darius and Dustin Poirier regarding the number one contender. However, this match did not come to fruition and Dariush ended up booking a fight with Gamrot instead.

Benil Derius was supposed to face Islam Makhachev in February of this year. However, he was forced out of the match due to a leg injury. This showdown against Mateuz Gambrot will present itself as a great opportunity for Darius to get a great opportunity as well.
Speaking about his upcoming fight against Matthews Qamarot, Benil Darioch said:
