With the gold medal on the line, 200 million men and women finally promise to be sexy. In the men’s competition, Noah Lyles is a strong candidate and 19.62 in the semifinals makes his case even stronger. He will be closely challenged by fellow American Aeron Knighton and Kenneth Bendnarik in the final.

In the women’s competition, it comes down to whether anyone can stop Shell-Ann Fraser-Pryce from winning the gold medal. She is looking for a double gold medal after her stunning victory in the 100m race. She will be challenged by Sherica Jackson and Tamara Clarke, who were semifinalists. Elaine Thompson-Hera will be another contender for the podium in Oregon.
Men’s Triple Jump Qualifiers
It will be a historic occasion for India when three Indians, including Abdullah Abubakar, Eldus Paul and Praveen Chithravel, take part in the long jump. However, they have a difficult task at hand with a thin field. As of now, Pedro Piccardo, Lazaro Martinez and Hugues Fabrice Zango are vying to reach the final.
